It’s been a while since my last post, but school is back in
session, so ladies and gentlemen, in the words of Marshall Mathers; “It feels
so good to be back!” It’s been quite the summer in terms of sneakers, so we’ve
got a lot to cover. We’ll start off with the retros. We saw some heat on feet
this summer, not only from Jordan Brand, but we saw retro drops from other
brands such as Reebok and Adidas. Names such as Allen Iverson and Dikembe Mutombo
were brought recently, and without relation to the 2001 Philadelphia 76ers. Jordan
(as always) had some hot drops this summer, including a variety of color ways
for the 4’s, 1’s, and 5’s. The hottest drop by Jordan of the summer goes
undisputedly to the Toro 4’s. This loud color way features red on black, and
that’s as classic as it gets. The white sole on this shoe just adds to the
heat. Reebok, as previously mentioned,
had a hot summer as well. The “Question Mid #1 Draft Pick” was a hot topic,
featuring a royal upper with a white sole and black paint speckles. The “Shaqnosis”
dropped in a few color ways as well, but the hottest Reebok retro of the summer
has got to be the Kamikaze’s, which were very popular. They bring a loud style
to the shoe game, and some fly color ways such as “Monochrome and “Seattle
Supersonics” were a real hit. Pictures are coming soon.
In conclusion, summer was hot, but brace yourselves for fall
and the upcoming holiday season.
